OPTION I

DAY ONE:
Arrive at Kundapur in the evening.

DAY TWO:
Leave to Koorg. On the way visit Karkal to see the Gomateshwara the 50 feet monolith statue. Stop at Moodbidri to see the 1000 Pillar Temple. Proceed to Coorg. Halt. If possible cultural program will be arranged in the evening.

DAY THREE:
Leave for Mysore. Visit World famous Mysore Palace of the Vodayer Dynasty, Visit the Zoo. Afternoon free for shopping. Evening leave for Bandipur. Halt.

DAY FOUR:
Morning Jeep Safari. Full day free. Evening Jeep Safari (optional).

DAY FIVE:
Leave early morning. Back to Kundapur via Coorg.

** One day stay at Koorg in a coffee estate can be arranged with the local family.

OPTION II:

DAY ONE:
Arrive at Kundapur in the evening.

DAY TWO:
Leave Kundapur for MUTTODI WILD LIFE SANCTUARY. On the way visit Karkal to see the Gomateshwara the 50 feet monolith statue. Stop at Moodbidri. Visit the 1000 Pillar Temple.  Halt at the sanctuary. Jeep Safari is possible in some seasons. Muttodi has one of the biggest Teak tree ever recorded in Karnataka.

DAY THREE:
Take the 3 k.m nature trail to Hebbe Water falls in the morning. Proceed to Malaya Marutha Hills, Halt.

DAY FOUR :
Start after lunch to Kundapur.

Well worth seeing are the Tala Cauvery, Nalkunadu National Park, Madikeri Fort, Omkareshwari Temple, Nalkunadu Palace, Irrpu Falls and the Abbey Falls. There are several other places of interest as well.

The best time to visit these places is from October to April. The intrepid traveler who would care to make a visit during the monsoons during the months of June to September would be rewarded with many an unforgettable sight.

Coorg also known locally as Kodagu is a place of exquisite beauty and delight to any tourist. Countless streams murmur and gurgle as they snake down the mountain slopes into the valleys below. Herein lies an opportunity for the stout hearted to seek new adventure. Hidden amidst the scenic beauty of its hills and valleys is an array of absorbing historical interest.

KARKALA

KARKALA GOMATESHWARA: This 52 ft. high Bahubali statue is on the Gommata Betta. He is called Gommateswara- great Gigantic and majestic Ishwara, standing nude, turning his mind away from worldly affairs. It was built in 1432 by Pandya Raja. Yearly celebrations are in February and once in 12 years "Mahamastakabhisheka" is celebrated. Be here to see how wonderful it will be to see the bathing ceremony of Gomateshwara. 

Distance from Kundapur -100 km.

RAMASAMUDRA: The lake is down the hillock in Karakala. Ammanavara Basadi and Chaturmukha Basadi have attractive stone sculpture.

MOODABIDRI

Savirakambada Basadi (Thousand Pillar Temple) built in 1462 AD-Basadi of 1000 pillars, famous for its stone sculpture. Mahadwar, Bhairadevi, Chitradevi, Namaskaara, Teerthankara and Garbhagruha are the 8 Mantapas here. The idol (8’high) of Chandranatha is established in the garbha gruha. Supaarshwa and Chandraprabha  Theerthankara idols are worth visiting. Navanaari kuinjara , a sculptural art piece that appears like an Elephant but nine dancers, are seen in the figure, is the famous art in this Basadi.

MYSORE

Mysore is the capital city of the Heritage of Wodeyars Home to the untold grandeur and glory, where the rich heritage of Wodeyars is carefully preserved to this day in its magnificent palaces, beautifully laid out garden, imposing buildings, broad shady avenues & sacred temples. There is an old world charm about this city, which welcomes every visitor. Its warmth touches all.

Mysore, or Mahishur as it was called then, traces its history back to the mythical past, when Goddess Chamundeshwari of Chamundi Hills killed the wicked buffalo-headed demon, Mahishasura.  Mysore Dasara is the celebration of this victory of good over evil. Come to Mysore in the month of October. The tranquil city awakens to ten days of Dasara festivities. Beautifully lit up palaces, decorated arches, festooned streets, colorful costumes and cultural shows... classical music, folk dances, Bharata Natyam, Yakshagana, Huthari, Torch Light Parade, Theppotsava... The culmination of these festivities is the legendary Mysore Dasara Procession with decorated Horses & elephants, the golden howdah,  stately coaches, troops in ceremonial uniforms, folk dancers and colorful floats.

All around Mysore city, within motorable distance are places of scenic beauty and historical interest which include Srirangapatna, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Brindavan Gardens, Melkote, Somanathpur, Talkad, Shivasamudram, Kabini River Lodge, Bandipur and many more.
